What Customers Say About Epson PictureMate Dash PM260 Compact Photo Inkjet Printer (C11C694201):

I really love this printer. Maybe you can and I just haven't figured it out yet. The variety of sizes that it lets you print are fantastic. I wish you could edit the photos on it, though. But, overall, I love it. SUCH A GREAT BUY.

After ordering this photo printer and receiving an email that it was being shipped, I was notified that the vendor actually did not have it in stock so it was not being shipped. At least I wasn't charged.(My ratings are based on another Epson PictureMate Dash PM260 Compact Photo Inkjet Printer that I purchased about a year ago. I liked the way the first one works, which is why I tried to order a second).

After using the Picturemate for about 6 months, the printer failed to print yellow, despite multiple attempts to clean and align the print heads. I would not buy this item again.

I use this printer for doing quick 4x6 proofs or for printing snapshots from my point-and-shoot. Cameras as low as 2-3 megapixels produce fine prints. This adds up, especially if you find yourself printing, editing and then printing again. I like that it's incredibly handy and you can go from camera to prints in just a few moments. Other than these issues, highly recommended if you want a simple, easy-to-use 4x6 photo printer. The prints are as good as any you'll find in this size range, and you can't beat the convenience. I have a higher-end Epson 2880 for more serious work or for larger prints, but the PM260 makes a nice alternative for those times when I just want to run off a few 4x6 prints. Sure, you can get better results tweaking images on a PC and then printing, but you won't be disappointed if you go straight from memory card to print.Only complaints are that there's no built-in support for Nikon RAW file format (you need a PC for this), and the cost per print runs about $0.35-$0.40 per print.

Changing ink and paper is easy and foolproof, and generally the printer is easy enough to use for anyone - including people who tend to be intimidated by a more full-function printer. Picture quality is very good for a product like this, with well-saturated color, even gloss and no obvious banding, pixelation or other digital artifacts. As other reviewers have noted, it's also prone to clogging if you let it sit for too long unused - would be nice if there were a way to completely drain the printer for storage.

Just keep in mind the cost of the ink. The refills come with the ink and paper.

It is perfect for anyone who does scrapbooking or something similar. Print quality is fantastic, you can print all kinds of smaller pics on one page, etc.

My husband bought this for me about a year and a half ago and I absolutely love the printer. I noticed when buying this printer for a present that paper is way cheaper on Amazon than at Target where I usually go.

The max size is 4x6 but you can do all kinds of mini pics, half sizes, etc.My only complant I have is that the ink/paper packets are not cheap. They are about $35-40 for a hundred some prints (I believe but don't quote me on that).

I am not sure how much ink costs for other units but considering how great this printer is, I guess it's worth the ink price.I highly suggest this unit to anyone looking for a photo printer. :0)
